I would like to express my condolences on behalf of the Indiana trap shooters to the family of Jon Moore. Jon passed on Tuesday April 10th, 2012. Jon was president of the ITA in 1974 and also served the shooters of Indiana as Indiana ATA Delegate for many years. Jon will be missed by all shooters who knew him.
I would like to congratulate the two new members inducted into the Indian Creek Shooting Center Hall of Fame at a banquet held March 31st, 2012. These two men are very deserving of being members in the ICSSHOF. They are Robert Turner and Jim Williams.
I know there have been several marathons shot throughout the state and more planned throughout the summer. Marathons are a great way to register a lot of targets in a day.
Don’t forget that the AIM program will be shot on Tuesday July 10th, 2012. This will be the first day of the State Shoot. I would like to invite everyone to the Indiana State Shoot held at our home grounds in Fortville, IN. The State Shoot will run from July 10-15. I think this is one of the best State Shoots that you will ever attend.
Don’t forget to look at the Indiana Trap shooters web site to see the special shoots that gun clubs throughout the state are having. This will allow you to plan ahead and shoot as many as possible.
The Ceraland project has been closed. The ITA and CERAland BOD could not come to an agreement. We are now working on the electric and putting a new roof on the clubhouse at the home grounds in Fortville. We hope to make improvements to the home grounds as we move forward in our quest to have the best state shoot in the country.
Roland King ATA Delegate
