Again, I would like to thank the trapshooters of Indiana for allowing me to be your delegate this past year, and I look forward to serving as the Indiana Delegate for the coming year. It is a great honor for me to serve as your delegate. I would like to congratulate all the trophy winners at the State Shoot. There were a lot of good scores shot.
I would like to congratulate Warren Slider for shooting his 150,000th singles target and Larry Atwood for shooting his 50,000th handicap target. It was also my honor to present Larry with the ATA pin for breaking his 50,000 target.
At our annual meeting on Friday night of the State Shoot, we went over the financial report and a copy was given to all the Gun Clubs. We also elected our ITA Board of Directors. Roland King was elected President and Al Gamblin was elected Vice President. I was also elected ATA Delegate, Jason Barnett and Keith Weller were elected as Alternate Delegates. The dates for the Indiana State Shoot next year are July 7-12 2015. The tentative sites for the Indiana Zone Shoots were chosen. They are: Southern Zone –Vincennes Gun Club, Central Zone –Wallace Traps, and Northern Zone – Fulton County Gun Club. The exact dates of the Zone Shoots are yet to be determined, but they will be held in the month of May.
Remember that we do have a lot of good shooting left at our local gun clubs. A lot of clubs will be having their club championships and other special shoots. Let’s support our local gun clubs because without them, we wouldn’t have an ATA organization.
