September 2013 Delegate Report

I would like to thank the shooters of Indiana for allowing me to be their delegate for another year. It is truly an honor to serve the shooters of Indiana.

On Friday July 12th a new slate of officers were presented to the gun clubs of Indiana. The slate was voted on and passed. The new President is Dave Wright, Vice President is Roland King, Board members

Al Gamblin, Don Carlton, Bob Reynolds, Dave Cates, Bill Radwan, Keith Weller, Jason Barnett and new board member Bill Mager. ATA Delegate is Roland King, 1st Alternate is Dave Wright, and 2nd Alternate is Keith Weller. The new secretary is Ryan Clark.
Also I want to let everyone know that the 2013 State Shoot will be July 8-13 2013 at the Homegrounds in Fortville, In. This year we were down 20 shooters compared to last year in shoot participation.

I do want to thank Baker Farms for sponsoring the miss and out. It was a big success with almost 200 shooters participating.

I want to thank everyone who helped make the Indiana State Shoot a truly great state shoot this year. The state shoot wouldn’t be near as good as it is without the volunteer help we get every year.

The 2013 Indiana Zone Shoots will be held at:

Northern Zone-St. Joe Valley Conservation Club (date not established yet.)

Central Zone-Fall Creek Conservation Club, May10-11.

Southern Zone-Columbus Gun Club, May24-25

I hope everyone will mark their calendars for these shoots in 2013.

Remember that we do have a lot of good shooting left at our local clubs. A lot of clubs will be having their Club Championships and other special shoots. Let’s support our local gun clubs because without them we wouldn’t have an ATA organization.

In closing, I would like to thank C. Richard Taylor for his many years of service to the ITA and BOD. He will truly be missed and I wish him well on all of his future endevours.

Roland King
ATA Delegate
