On behalf of the trapshooters of Indiana I would like to send our condolences to the family of Leo Harrison III. May the Lord comfort you and your family during this time of mourning. Leo’s physical body may be gone, but his spirit will live on in each of us that he touched in one way or another.
As we come to the close of another summer of shooting here in Indiana, I hope everyone has achieved the goals that you set for yourselves. I know I am already looking forward to next year and trying to set some new goals for myself, as well as meeting some goals I didn’t meet this past shooting season. One thing I will be able to do this winter is to catch up on reading all of my Trap and Field magazines that I didn’t have time to read this past summer. The winter also gives me time to reload a lot of shells and be ready to shoot when spring arrives.
I would like to congratulate all the Indiana shooters who won trophies at the Grand American. They were: Jack Curry, Matt Perkins, Jacob Wieneke, Mary Downham, Cody Sullivan, Brandon Sullivan, Tom Neal, Bill Tempest, Devon Harris, John Harden, William Brom, Michael Cornelius, Jerry Brown, Wayne Downham, Kenneth Heathcoate, Colton Bright, Richard Self, Phillip Kinman, Matt Strimple, Tom Antczak, David Winn, Howard Thomas, Robert Krohn, Morris Cornelius, Thomas Kleyla, Barbara Rocheford, Jamie Taylor, Clayton Taylor, Christopher Faris, Griffin Collins, Bobby Bolden, Paul Rode, Thomas Burchell, James King, Garl Gresley, Richard Weir, and Raymond Strabavy.
There are a lot of clubs in Indiana that will throw targets all winter. If you want to shoot some registered targets and get a jump on next year, go to our website, “Indiana Trapshooters”. There is a list of the gun clubs and the dates they shoot registered targets.
