May 2014 Delegate Report

It looks like spring has finally arrived. The weather is starting to get warm and hopefully people will start getting in the mood to shoot.

I have seen a lot of marathons being offered this spring, in doubles, singles, and handicap. Most of these will be 500 target events. There will also be clinics offered to the shooters so they can improve their shooting skills. I would say one of the best things I did for my shooting was take a clinic. There are also several special shoots taking place this spring. Look at the Indiana Trapshooters web site for information.

I would like to congratulate the Indiana shooters who won trophies at the Southern Grand. They are: Garl Gresley, Tank Lunsford, Brandon Sullivan, Phillip Kinman, Tom Antczak, Devon Harris, Larry Ellis, Bill Tempest, and Gregg Bauserman.

The AIM program will be shot on Tuesday, July 8th this year. This is the first day of the state shoot. The coaches of the AIM shooters will need to get their teams pre-registered and pre-squadded.  For more information about the AIM program you can contact the Indiana AIM director, Keith Weller. His e-mail address is keithweller@aetnaplywood.com.     Don’t forget the Indiana State Shoot. It will be held July 8-13 at our homegrounds in Fortville. I hope everyone will be able to attend. I really look for this to be one of the best state shoots we have ever had.
