I would like to congratulate Marvin Lester for his induction into the Indian Creek Hall of Fame. Marvin was the AIM director for the state before Keith Weller took over the position. Marvin still helps with the AIM at our state shoot and also coaches a team from Indian Creek. This was an honor well deserved.
I would like to thank the BOD and management of Columbus Gun Club, Fall Creek Conservation Club, and St. Joe Valley Conservation Club for hosting the Indiana Zone Shoots and doing an outstanding job.
The ATA Central Zone will also be held at St. Joe Valley Conservation Club Aug. 1-3
I know there have been several marathons shot throughout the state and more planned throughout the summer. Marathons are a great way to register a lot of targets in a day.
Don’t forget that the AIM program will be shot on Tuesday July 8th, 2014. This will be the first day of the State Shoot. I would like to invite everyone to the Indiana State Shoot held at our home grounds in Fortville, IN. The State Shoot will run from July 8-13. I think this is one of the best State Shoots that you will ever attend.
Lowell and Susie Thomas have reopened Kingen Gun Club on March 29th. They did extensive remodeling January – March. The club is open for practice Wed. noon – 8:00pm and Saturdays noon- 5:00pm. Registered shoots will be on the Third Sunday of the month starting in April. Lunch is available as well as reloading components. Everyone should thank Lowell and Susie for their determination and vision to keep this club alive.
Don’t forget to look at the Indiana Trap shooters web site to see the special shoots that gun clubs throughout the state are having. This will allow you to plan ahead and shoot as many as possible.
