July 2010 Delegate Report

I would like to send my condolences to Don Barker and his family for the lose of Judy Barker (Don’s wife). Judy was a special person to the shooters of Indiana. She shared duties with Don at the Fulton County Conservation Club and kept the grounds looking like a park. All the people she touched during her life will sadly miss her. Don, know that you are in our prayers.

Shooting is going full steam ahead here in Indiana. The weather is warming and there are a lot registered shoots going on. We have had the Indiana Zone Shoots and they were very successful. I would like to thank the St Joe Valley Conservation Club, Wallace Traps Inc., and Columbus Gun Club for hosting the Indiana Zone Shoots. If you see any of the officials at these clubs please thank them for all their effort and time they spent so they could give us the best zone shoots possible.

Don’t forget about the Indiana State Shoot July 6-11 at the home grounds at Fortville, In. Just to remind everyone we will be using Pat traps and we have rebuilt some of the trap houses and straightened up the trap line. We will have 16 program traps and 2 practice traps. Come out and enjoy one of the best shoots in the country.

The ATA Central Zone Shoot will be July 30-Aug. 1. This year there will be to sites in our zone. They will be Jaqua’s in Findlay, Ohio and Brittany Shooting Park in Bunker Hill, Illinois. This is a great time to get some targets in before the Grand.

Roland King

ATA Delegate
