February 2011 Delegate Report

As I am writing this article we have had snow, ice, and single digit weather here in Southern Indiana. Needless to say, the weather isn’t conducive to shooting clay targets. This is the time of year I catch up on my reading of sports magazines and loading shells. I also make my motel reservations for the coming shooting season. Sometimes I can get better rates by making these reservations early.

I hope everyone plans to attend the Indiana State Shoot July 5-10 at the home grounds in Fortville. Also come and shoot our Indiana Zone Shoots. They will be May 13-15 at Kingen Gun Club, May 20-22 at Fulton County Conservation and Gun Club and May 27-29 at Evansville Gun Club. Don’t forget that Evansville will also be one of the host sites for the ATA Central Zone Shoot July 29-31. I hope everyone can mark their calendars to shoot at these fine gun clubs. Remember to support your local gun club. You can support your local clubs by some kind of clean-up or keeping score at the shoots. Anything we, as shooters, can do to help the gun clubs is much appreciated.

Roland King
ATA Delegate
