I would like to congratulate the Indiana shooters who made the ATA All American Team. They are: All American First Team- Tank Lunsford; All American Junior Second Team- Matthew Perkins; and All American Chair Shooter- John Gould.
Now that Christmas is over and most of the hunting has passed for another year, we can start thinking about what shoots we are going to attend this coming spring and summer. Remember to check the ATA and Indiana Trapshooters Association web sites for shoot dates at the Indiana clubs. A lot of gun clubs are also planning marathons and special club shoots for the coming year. These will also be listed on the Indiana Trapshooters web site. Hopefully gas and components will be cheaper this year, which may allow us to pick up an extra shoot or two.
Don’t forget to mark your calendars for the Indiana Zone Shoots in May. These are always well run shoots and a lot of fun. The Indiana State Shoot will be July 6-11. The Indiana Board of Directors has been working hard to ensure this as being one of the best state shoots ever.
We are still working with Ceraland on the architectural drawing of the trap range. We are getting closer to a total cost of the project. Once we get the total cost we can then determine whether to continue forward or not. As I find out more about the project, I will pass the information on to the shooters via my article or on the Indiana web site.
