December 2017 Delegate Report

Greetings Shooters!

Hopefully everyone had a great Thanksgiving and the weather is playing nice and allowing us to get out and shoot some trap this time of year.

Please make sure you are aware of these important 2018 shoot dates. For the ITA Zone shoots, the Central Zone will be held at Fall Creek Valley CC May 12-13, the Northern Zone at St Joe Valley CC May 19-20, and then the Southern Zone at Columbus Gun Club May 26-27. This one is very important…the 2018 Indiana State Shoot will be held July 17-22! This is later in July than usual for us as we had to move it back due to how the calendar falls next year and because of conflicts with other states and our computer services people. The ATA Central Zone shoot will be the following weekend, July 27-29, at Evansville Gun Club, which will lead us right into the Grand American, August 1-11, 2018. It’s going to be a busy summer for sure.

It has been brought to my attention that Mr. Garl Gresley has completed his Grand Slam! He broke 100 straight from the 27 yard line back in August at St. Joe Valley Conservation Club to complete his slam. Way to go Garl!

Congratulations to the following Indiana shooters for making the 2018 ATA All-American Team, based on their 2018 Target Year performance! Chrissy Byrd, Lady I second team, Tank Lunsford, Sub-Vet first team, Garl Gresley, Sub-Vet second team, Tom Neal, Veteran first team, John Roussel, Veteran second team, and Vern Brown & Bobby Hubble, Senior Vet second team. Making the ATA All-American Team is certainly an honor requiring a lot of commitment and again congrats to each of these shooters.

I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! May your 2018 be filled with good health, good times and much success both on and off the trap field.

Please don’t hesitate to let me know if you need anything or would like to have anything included in this monthly report for Indiana. My email is
