December 2011 Delegate Report

Word has been received of the death of ATA Life Member and Indiana Trapshooter’s  Association Hall of Fame member, Thomas Mundell, originally of Tipton, Indiana.  Tom was the 1976 and 1989 Indiana State Singles Champion, 1965 and 1986 Indiana State Handicap Champion and the 1984 and 1986 Indiana State All-Around Champion.  Tom had lived in Tipton all his life until his retirement and subsequent move to Silver Lake, Indiana. He is survived by his wife, Beth. Our prayers are with the family.

We had a meeting at CERAland in Columbus, IN for the gun clubs and interested individuals. The meeting went really well. There were approximately 30 people and 15 gun clubs represented. The board is in the process of sending cards out to the gun clubs to get their vote on moving forward. The next step is for us to put together more detailed plans for the buildings and the property. If we get the OK from the gun clubs, we would like to have our 2013 state shoot at the new home grounds in  Columbus.

I would like to congratulate Paul Rode on shooting his 400,000th registered target on Aug. 20, 2011.

I also want to congratulate the trophy winners at the 2011 Grand American.
