Greetings Indiana Shooters!
Hopefully when you’re reading this in early August we are all at the Grand American at Linn Creek talking about how fortunate we were to pull off a fantastic 2020 Indiana State Shoot considering all of the obstacles this year.
I do know for certain that we were lucky to be able to hold our Indiana Zone shoots the last weekend of May. I want to again thank Indian Creek Shooting Center, Roachdale Gun Club and Fulton County Gun Club for agreeing to host the Zone shoots this year. Congratulations to all the Indiana Zone trophy winners! In the South Zone, Noah Rice was the Singles Champ with a 197, Mike Grannan was the Doubles champ with a 94, and Michael Huffman took home the Handicap buckle with a 94. Jerry Fosbrink was HOA with a 378. In the Central Zone, Scott Chappell put his trusty Model 12 to work in the Singles, breaking his first 200 straight! Also to note, congrats to Jennifer Buck for running the back 100 to take the Lady I trophy. Doubles Champ went to Mike Williams, and Matt Moser was high in the Handicap with a 97 and took home both belt buckles with his 378 HOA win. Up in the North Zone, 197’s were high from both Devon Harris & Scott Cochran, and it took another 100 straight in the shoot-off from Devon before he was crowned as the Singles Champ. Tim Richards broke a 97 in Doubles to win Champ, Timothy Dienema was the Handicap victor with the lone 93, and Scott Cochran won the HOA with a 381.
Don’t hesitate to let me know if you need anything or would like to have anything included in this article for Indiana. I hope to see many of you at the Grand!
