August 2013 Delegate Report

As I write this article, we are right in the middle of fantastic shooting in the Midwest. Once again the Indiana State Shoot was a success. I would like to thank the Indiana Board of Directors for all the hard work and preparation that goes into having a successful shoot. I want to also thank the many volunteers that also help in making the state shoot such an enjoyable event for everyone. I want to also congratulate all the trophy winners and thank you for attending our State Shoot. I hope everyone has a wonderful time and will plan on attending next year.

Remember there is a lot of good shooting in Indiana. Most clubs have a special shoot and a lot of those shoots are in the fall of the year. Go to the Indiana web site to see what special shoots your club is having as well as other clubs through-out the state.

I want to remind everyone that the ATA Central Zone Shoot will be hosted by Evansville Gun Club on August 2-4. Come and join us for some excellent shooting.

On behalf of the Trapshooters of Indiana, I would like to send our condolences to the family of Frank Hoppe. I first had Frank come and do a clinic at Indian Creek Shooting Center 13 years ago. Frank came back every year since then. Frank and I became very good friends during those 13 years. We have stayed at each other’s house, hunted ducks together on the Platte River, told stories, and dined together. I am truly going to miss the times we shared together.

ATA Delegate
